We’re currently seeking a passionate Director & Editor-in-Chief to lead our editorial vision and guide our creative team as we expand our reach and impact. This is a voluntary leadership role-ideal for someone who wants to build a strong editorial portfolio, lead a dynamic content team, and make a lasting mark in digital media.

Role Overview

As Director & Editor-in-Chief, you’ll oversee all editorial operations and content direction for Akilorex Torch. You will coordinate writers, editors, and contributors to ensure that every story published meets the highest standards of quality, creativity, and relevance.

Your leadership will shape the voice and tone of Akilorex Torch, ensuring our message remains consistent, engaging, and aligned with our mission-to inform, inspire, and ignite curiosity.

Key Responsibilities

-Lead the Editorial Vision: Set and maintain the publication’s editorial standards, voice, and direction.
-Coordinate the Editorial Team: Manage writers, editors, and contributors; assign tasks, provide feedback, and ensure smooth communication.
-Plan Editorial Calendars: Develop monthly and quarterly content plans aligned with the platform’s goals and current trends.
-Edit and Approve Content: Review articles, blogs, and social media content for clarity, style, accuracy, and engagement.
-Ensure Timely Publishing: Monitor progress and maintain publishing schedules across all platforms.
-Collaborate with Creative Teams: Work closely with designers, social media leads, and marketing contributors to enhance content presentation.
-Drive Innovation: Encourage new ideas, formats, and storytelling approaches to strengthen Akilorex Torch’s presence and audience connection.

What We’re Looking For

-Strong editorial and leadership skills.
-Excellent command of written English (knowledge of SEO writing is a plus).
-Experience in digital publishing, blogging, or online media management.
-A creative mindset with an eye for storytelling and brand alignment.
-Strong organizational and communication abilities.
-Self-driven, reliable, and passionate about content creation and community impact.
